How the compatibility checker works
As soon as related parts are selected, GetPcParts.co.uk compares their specifications and warns about the most common build-breaking mistakes:
- Socket matching — confirms your CPU and motherboard use the same socket (AM5 or LGA1700).
- Cooler support — checks the cooler's listed socket support against your CPU.
- Power headroom — estimates total system draw from your CPU and GPU and compares it with your PSU's rated wattage.
